Overseer I. Watson

Overseer Ivan Watson is the pastor of the Triumphant Community Church of Jesus Christ located at 160 Churchill Ave, Somerset, NJ 08873. He was saved as a young man at Bethel United Church, 20 South Camp Road, Kingston, Jamaica under the leadership of Bishop Ira D. Thompson.

Overseer Watson was ordained in the United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic), headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, where Dr. Monroe R. Saunders, Jr. is the presiding Bishop. For many years, he worked under the leadership of Bishop Leslie J. Barnes, pastor of First United Church of Jesus Christ, Brooklyn, NY, and currently serves as a pastor in the 2nd Episcopal Diocese of the United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic). He loves to work with young people, and previously served as Youth Overseer for the 3rd Episcopal Diocese where he launched many new programs and initiatives to build the Youth Department of the Diocese.

Overseer Watson’s vision is to build the Lord’s Church through love and respect for God’s people. He is known for rolling-up his sleeves, getting involved in many activities, and takes joy in serving others. He also loves to see others mature and achieve their spiritual and secular goals.

Overseer Watson has a B.Sc in Accounting from Rutgers University, and is also a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of NJ. He operates his own accounting practice in Middlesex, NJ, and is a member of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). He currently serves as a director of the Middlesex/Somerset Chapter of the NJSCPA and also on various ad-hoc committees.

He is married to Evangelist Patricia Watson and they are the proud parents of daughter, Missionary Jennifer Ann Watson; son, Elder Mark Watson, and daughter-in-law, Minister Jennifer Watson.
